If nature is your thing then there’s no better stop in Switzerland than Sörenberg, winter or summer. The resort is located in the Unesco Entlebuch biosphere which is one of only 400 biosphere reserves worldwide. The unique plant and animal life here and the moor landscape have created an excellent holiday destination that allows you to explore the wonders of this area.

While nature is one of the main draws to this region, Sörenberg is the largest winter sports’ region in the Canton of Lucerne with 17 chair and ski-lifts and skiing and boarding opportunities at an altitude of 2350m on the Brienzer Rothorn. The area is very family-oriented with a snow sports school, toboggan runs, mountain railways on 53km of slopes and guided snow-shoe tours.

For some indoor relaxation, head to the Schwandalpweiher Kneipp Spa in Flühli which is a climatic health resort built using local materials. Or go to the Brienzer Room which offers amazing views and is accessible from Sörenberg by aerial cableway and by steam train from Brienz. It’s a perfect starting point for walks through the mountains.

Switzerland makes travel easy and enjoyable, so break away from your office for a week or two to enjoy what this wonderful country has to offer. If you’re looking for a little bit of inspiration to book your time of work and get the planning started, check out the video below.
